English as a Second Language (ESL)

About the English as a Second Language (ESL) Program

The ESL program at ECAC offers English classes to adults from Monday to Thursday, 9:00 to 11:00 and 11:00 to 1:00. The classes are open to anyone wishing to improve their English speaking skills. Current students include refugees and immigrants living in Chicago, including U.S. citizens. Classes cover various topics such as personal information, housing, health, and employment. The program is funded by the Illinois Community College Board, through the Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA).
