Dear ECAC client,
Late on Friday (January 24th) ECAC received a notice that the U.S. Department of State has
issued a Stop Work Order for all Reception and Placement (R&P) Services in line with
recent Executive Orders issued by the President including the ‘Realigning the United States
Refugee Admissions Program’ and the ‘Reevaluating and Realigning United States Foreign
Aid’.
Unfortunately, because of this news, ECAC cannot assist you through the R&P program.
Someone will reach out if we learn of any more changes that will impact you.
Moving forward, any and all services provided to you will be covered by the Refugee
Support Services, Employment and Case Management program. You will receive an intake
and orientation on this new program and the services you will be eligible for. Services
include assistance with benefits, health services, obtaining documents, enrolling your
children in school, and finding employment.
ECAC is working hard to ensure that you will continue to receive support services as you
adjust to a new life in the United States.
If you have any questions, please communicate directly to your case manager. If there is no
case manager listed below, we will be assigning a new one and they will reach out to you
directly.
